How to Install gis-data software package in Debian 7 (Wheezy)

gis-data software package provides Debian GIS data, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install gis-data 

gis-data is installed in your system.

Make ensure the gis-data package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gis-data *

You will get with gis-data package name, version, architecture and description in a table
